Need For Counselling

Career counselling is the need of the hour. With so many career options, students usually get confused about what to study, where to study and how to live a satisfying professional life. The mantra of being into a fulfilling career is “love what you do”. How can someone find a career that they can happily opt for in life? The answer is “with the help of career counselling”.

Career counselling is the process of recognizing the strengths and weaknesses of people, aligning their interests with their abilities and suggesting a suitable career path. The professionals responsible for this process are “career counsellors.” They are also called career coaches, career guides, and more. The names are different but the aim of these professionals is the same i.e. helping people get towards the right career direction.

Why need career counselling?

According to Swati, “I work towards mentoring students and their parents (as many are still stuck in old school ways), bringing awareness and providing them structured information and guidance. I actively participate in seminars, workshops, and school functions to solve this problem of “confusion with careers” collectively. Career counselling is my passion and the need of the hour. I have aligned what I love to do with what I can do well. And that's how I tend to bring a difference in people’s lives.
